In a picturesque winter scene at Zoopark Na Hrádečku in the Czech Republic, a magnificent lion named Tom has taken the concept of a ‘catwalk’ to a whole new level. With a resplendent and well-groomed mane that could rival any salon-fresh hairstyle, Tom, the five-year-old king of the jungle, captivated onlookers as he gracefully roamed the snowy landscape. These stunning moments were expertly captured by amateur photographer Robert Grim, showcasing the regal beauty of this rescued feline.

The photogenic feline, called Tom, five, looked like he had just stepped out of the salon as his majestic mane blew in the wind at Zoopark Na Hrádečku, in Czech Republic

Tom, a rescued lion who found refuge in the expansive grounds of Zoopark Na Hrádečku after enduring a tumultuous past in illegal practices, now enjoys the freedom of a vast space in the zoo. In the enchanting photographs, he exudes a regal charm, posing wide-eyed and at ease, his golden fur catching the sun against the backdrop of glistening snow.

Described by the photographer as if he had just stepped out of a barbershop, Tom’s impressive mane flows in the wind, adding an extra layer of majesty to his already magnificent presence. Rescued along with his brother Leo, the two lions now thrive in a nurturing environment, a far cry from the challenging circumstances they once faced.

He also cuddled up to a tree stump, golden fur catching the sun as the king of the jungle - or in this case, of the Zoopark Na Hrádečku - sauntered around.

Photographer Robert Grim, aged 51 and hailing from Prague, expressed his admiration for Tom’s salon-ready appearance. Grim highlighted the positive transformation of Tom and his brother, emphasizing their resilience and well-being in the zoo’s spacious and caring environment.
